Politecnico di Milano is made up of seven campuses distributed in the cities of Milano (Leonardo and Bovisa campuses), Cremona, Lecco, Mantova and Piacenza.
The Lecco Campus of Politecnico di Milano, established in 1989 through a synergistic collaboration between the University and the local Institutions, answers to the need of having a technologic branch able to combine the excellence of the most important technical university in Italy with the peculiarities of a specific area that is rich with companies and activities.
The courses offered exclusively at Polo di Lecco are a unique didactic opportunity.
The programs have been conceived to address the characteristics of our territory and the needs of its job market. The various innovative didactic initiatives offered within the Polo di Lecco degree programs have contributed to create a significant rapport between the campus, the industries and the institutions of the territory.
The latest data asserts that 90% of the graduates from the Lecco Campus, find jobs in less than one year from receiving their degree.
Internationalization is one of the strengths of the campus. Ever since 2006, year in which the Master Programs in English were first introduced, the presence of international students from all over the world has steadily increased. 30% of the entire student population who lives and studies in Lecco, and which amounts to more than 1,800, are foreign students. Consequently, our campus is a multicultural platform where students can practice and improve their knowledge of English as well as develop long-lasting friendships with others from diverse linguistic and ethnic backgrounds. Polo di Lecco has become, in just a few years, a point of reference for the university as scientific events and didactic activities take place in collaboration with important international academic partners. These initiatives see as active participants the students of the Polo who benefit from the exposure to students from other competitive universities.
Polo di Lecco have a brand new university campus: 47.000 m2 dedicated to instruction, research and student services.
This means modern classrooms where innovative teaching can take place, “state-of-the-arts” labs, and on-campus living space for 204 international and non-resident of Lecco students.
